OUR SUCCESS STORIES

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was evident that we collectively relied on technology to link us to our community, resources, schooling, and work. However, it also shed light on the fact there were many families and businesses who were less fortunate, creating a digital divide for technological dependency. Those without access to technology fell behind, and Techworks knew that we had the capability to keep people connected. Techworks iniated technology donations in order to bring technology to those who went without.

In August of 2020, Techworks came together an orgranized a donation drive supporting Long Island Against Domestic Violence (LIADV). After collecting donations from clients and friends, each piece of technology was reviewed, repaired, and refurbished then donated to LIADV to go to families who did not have the resources to access virtual learning platforms for their children.

In October of 2020, we also arranged for 8 complete workstations to be donated to the Family Service League of Long Island which were then distributed to student for virtual learning!
